Tanja Zupančič is a visual artist working with painting as a somatic, field-based practice.

With a background in art therapy, her work is rooted in embodied perception and attention before language. She works primarily with natural pigments, made from crushed rock and earth, occasionally combined with acrylics and soft pastels, allowing form and color to arise through presence rather than concept.

The paintings unfold slowly through layered washes, texture, and pause. Composition is guided by bodily sensing and wave-time.

Her work has been exhibited in India, where she lived for almost a decade – a period that deeply informed her relationship to material and perception. She currently lives and works in Slovenia.

Her work is rooted in remembering – an intelligence that lives within the body and the field.
